A native New Yorker, Conner first traveled to Cuba in 1993 and has been based in Havana since 2002 where she reports on Cuban health and medicine for MEDICC Review. Her work on Cuba has been published by NY Magazine, Scientific American, BBC, and the Irish Times, among others. She is a contributor to several anthologies including Best Travel Writing 2012 and A Contemporary Cuba Reader (2014). Conner is also the brainchild behind Cuba’s first English-language bookstore and café, Cuba Libro.

Gabriel is both a practicing graphic designer and senior lecturer at the Bristol School of Creative Arts. Alongside working with design clients, he has been responsible for developing a number of trade publications that cover areas of film, design, fandom and fashion – all of which aim to further our understanding of collaborative practice and explore the wider influence of creativity in society. His edited publications include World Film Locations: Los Angeles and World Film Locations: Rome and he is currently innovation manager and book series editor at Intellect.
Martin is a photographer and video producer based in the South West of England. His time is currently split between producing promotional music videos and portrait photography. His work has taken him to Europe and America, working for publications including, The Italian Magazine, Decode Magazine and Bath Life. Solo exhibitions include, ‘Everything In Between – a journey into the American Heartland’ (exhibition and book), ‘Wall of Sound’ – portraits of musicians and ‘The Twin Towns of Bath’ – a study of the town and people of Kaposvár, Hungary.
